It has grown in popularity as Coin offers good shopping, food and lots of leisure facilities, also with it being away from the busy Coast and being a good point for visiting other areas in Andalucia. It is on the Nothern foot of the Sierra de Mijas set inland malaga and the nearest beaches are 25 minutes away and the nearest ones are those of Marbella.
